Look at how Games apps are priced and one thing stands out right away: almost nobody charges upfront if they can help it. Of the 23,328 tracked apps, 79.5% ask for nothing at all. Even among the 4,779 apps that do charge, most stay cheap. 1,464 apps land in the $0.01 to 0.99 range and 1,391 more sit at $1 to 2.99, while only 412 apps price themselves at $10 or more. There's no gradual climb up toward premium pricing here. What you get instead is a wall of free titles, then a thin tail of paid ones that shrinks fast, and that pattern tells you something: in Games, the money comes after the install, not at the moment someone decides whether to download.

Publisher ratings expose a gap between how much a studio ships and how much anyone actually notices. Kairosoft Co.,Ltd leads the publisher list with 76 apps, yet those apps have only pulled in 73,510 ratings put together, a tiny fraction of the category's 537,781,891 total. HandyGames (55 apps, 13,808 ratings) and Kotobuki Solution Co., Ltd. (52 apps, 5,980 ratings) follow the same script: large catalogs, each holding under 0.1% of the category's ratings. Voodoo (57 apps, 4.5%) and AI Games FZ (51 apps, 2.1%) break that pattern, managing to turn a big catalog into an audience that actually registers. Even so, stack up the three biggest publishers by app count and you still land at just 4.7% of all ratings combined. Simply putting out a lot of titles doesn't buy attention in this category.

The real weight in Games sits with a handful of massive individual titles, not with whichever publisher ships the most apps. Roblox alone has racked up 19,674,379 ratings, ahead of 和平精英 (15,363,214), 王者荣耀 (14,964,508), 金铲铲之战 (8,480,106), and 地铁跑酷 - 全新玩法上线! (5,327,825). Any single one of these leaders outweighs the entire combined output of publishers like Kairosoft or HandyGames. In this category, one breakout hit with staying power beats a publisher's whole back catalog, no matter how large that catalog gets.

Bar length is each publisher's share of ratings; the app count beside it shows how few apps that reach can rest on. Publishers are the store's own IDs — corporate parents are not merged, so concentration reads conservative.

What this report cannot tell you
We measure public listing metadata: prices, ratings, sizes, publishers. We cannot see downloads, revenue, active users, or retention, and we do not estimate them. Ratings reflect lifetime accumulation, not current popularity, and in-app pricing is invisible to us.
