§How to compare two apps fairly
What you are looking at
Pick any two apps and we pull their live public metadata side by side, ratings, rating count, price, download size, age rating, languages, and release and update dates. Everything is real and current; nothing is weighted or scored by us. You decide what matters for your choice.
Which numbers actually decide it
Not every metric points the same way. A higher rating average only means something next to a high rating count, ten reviews can't outweigh a million. A bigger download is not better; it just costs more space. The most underrated field is the last update date: a recently updated app is one someone still maintains, which often matters more than a tenth of a star.
A fair comparison
Compare like with like, two apps that do the same job, then weigh the numbers against how you'll use them. If you want to understand what any single field means or how it is calculated, the glossary explains each one, and our study on ratings unpacks why the count matters more than the stars.
