The Crown Just Moved Again

Golfstream - Social Network, built by Michal Jach, bumped SYS™ (Mainvolume) out of the top spot in September 2026. So far it's only held #1 for 1 of the last 49 tracked days, and it's brand new to the top ten. Call this reign brief. It's more of a blink than a hold.

This board never sits still. The crown has changed hands 87 times over the period we've tracked, so what you're looking at is one snapshot, not some fixed pecking order.

Four Apps, One Ceiling Price

Golfstream shares its $1,000.00 price tag with three other apps: Твой Финансовый Калькулятор, Tapline Tycoon, and SYS™, the same app it just knocked off the top. A social network, a financial calculator, a tycoon game, and an audio production tool, all sitting at the same number. There's no category logic tying them together. Four different developers just happened to land on the same round figure as their ceiling.

Right below that cluster, the price barely budges. #5 through #17 all sit at $999.99, a single cent under the leaders, and that group includes 饿不着, Obsidian, and CyberTuner. Near the top, this doesn't look like a ladder so much as a plateau packed with tenants.

The Long Drop to the Tail

The top price runs 2.5 times the median of the top 100, and the full spread stretches from $1,000.00 at #1 down to $200.00 at #100. Once you clear that plateau at the top, though, the drop turns into an actual cliff.

One developer owns a surprising chunk of the middle and lower stretch. Motionics LLC shows up 10 times in the top 100, with ShakerWatch, Tower Gage, Shale Shaker Vibration, iRotorBalancer, and VibraTestPro-VibrationAnalyzer among its entries. These are instrumentation tools for mechanical vibration testing, not the kind of thing an average person downloads, and a name repeating that often suggests one specialist shop pricing its whole product line the same way. roc.Kasse GmbH pulls a smaller version of the same trick, landing both roc.Kasse and roc.Ident in the top 20.

The one worth calling out by name is CyberTuner, from Reyburn Piano Service, Inc., at $999.99. A piano-tuning tool sitting next to social networks and vibration analyzers makes clear this board has little to do with what an app actually does. It's really tracking who a developer decided could pay their way in.

What the Price Is Actually Gatekeeping

Set aside the social network and the tycoon game, and nearly everything left is professional-grade software: Zomeo - Homeopathy Software, Piano Tuning App PT-A1 (Yamaha Corporation of America), and vhStressECG. These are built for a narrow trade that's willing to pay, not a mass audience, so that four-figure price is doing the same job the subscription paywall does elsewhere.

Golfstream breaks that pattern just by sitting in that top spot. A social network charging $1,000.00 up front is either a serious business tool dressed up like a consumer app, or someone testing how high the store will let a price go. It's held the crown for one day out of forty-nine, so I wouldn't put money on which one it is just yet.
