Highest Rated Free App With Volume

A New Name at the Top

Waymo LLC's self-driving app grabbed the #1 spot away from Dropout back in June 2026, and it hasn't let go since. For every single day we've tracked this board, Waymo has sat at the top: all 63 days of it, no exceptions.

This isn't a spot that flips easily. Across the entire tracking window, the top position has changed hands just 2 times, so when Dropout, the streaming and comedy app from Connected Ventures, LLC., lost its place, that was a genuine event on this board, not just noise.

What the Reviews Say Underneath the 5.0

Out of 386 reviews, sentiment for Waymo holds steady at 0.65, which is solidly positive but stops short of rapturous. Two themes keep coming up: people like how easy the app is to use, and they feel safe and comfortable during the ride. That said, the same reviews keep pointing to friction. Complaints about vehicle glitches and customer service crop up often enough that they look like a pattern rather than one-off gripes. A perfect 5.0 sitting above that kind of detail is worth a second look. Read the score as a floor on satisfaction, not as evidence that nothing ever goes wrong.

The Top 25, and Where the Tie Actually Breaks

Here's the strange part of this board: there's no actual numerical gap between #1 and #2. Waymo and Dropout are both sitting at 5.0, and so are eleven other apps stacked behind them, all the way down to #13. That group includes IKEA 宜家家居 (new to the top ten and now at #3), Partiful, and LADDER Strength Training Plans. The scores don't actually start separating until #14, where Differences - Find & Spot It and Math Puzzle Games - Crossmath, both from Guru Smart Holding Limited, kick off the run of 4.9s.

Guru Smart Holding Limited appears 6 times in the top 100, more than any other developer here, and every one of those entries sits in the same lane: puzzle, hidden-object, find-the-difference. That's not diversity, it's a formula they've clearly stuck with because it works. The genuine outlier is IKEA 宜家家居, a furniture retailer's app somehow keeping pace with self-driving cars, comedy specials, and tile-matching puzzle games like Pyramid Mahjong, which still sits at 4.9 in the #25 slot. From the top of the list to the bottom, the whole spread is a mere 0.1 of a point.

Inside the top ten, apps moved an average of 2.3 places over the tracking window. That's brisk, not chaotic. With so many apps tied at a perfect score, the real fight for #1 was never going to come down to decimals. It's about volume, and right now Waymo has the edge.
