Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate trails at #2 with 139 GB, a 14 GB gap that seems massive until you scroll further down. Crimson Desert Enhanced holds #3 at 116 GB. After that, the sizes fall off a cliff.

Metro Exodus comes in at #4 with 71.5 GB, already less than half the leader's footprint. Sizes keep sliding from there, bottoming out at 5.6 GB by #100. Across the whole top 100, the average works out to 11.4 times the median, a few giants perched on top of a long, thin tail of much smaller games.

The crown nobody can hold

Assassin's Creed Shadows didn't bother with the usual slow climb up the rankings, it landed straight at #1, which almost never happens on a board this packed. The 102 reviews collected so far tell a messier story than the file size implies: sentiment sits at just 0.12 and is still sliding. Crashes, performance hiccups, and loading complaints show up again and again, though a few reviewers admit the graphics and gameplay make it worthwhile when the app actually behaves. Biggest file on the list, and not exactly the smoothest to run.

The top spot has flipped 11 times over the tracked period, and this one has sat at #1 for 31 of the last 46 days. It knocked Total War: ROME REMASTERED off the throne, and that game has since dropped to #6 on the current list at 55.0 GB. Eleven changes at the top is a lot of churn, especially on a board where the file sizes themselves hardly budge.

Feral's twelve, and the odd one out

Look through the first 25 rows and one name shows up over and over: Feral Interactive Ltd claims 12 of those spots, and 30 across the entire top 100. Total War: ROME REMASTERED, Total War: WARHAMMER II, Life is Strange 2, XCOM 2, and Rise of the Tomb Raider are all Feral ports, ranging roughly between 27 GB and 55 GB. No other publisher gets anywhere near that level of repeat presence on this list.

Riven, from Cyan Worlds, sits at #24 with 27.0 GB. It's a puzzle game, yet it lands right beside Warhammer 40K: DoW III and the Total War titles around it, all sprawling open world action games. Whatever Cyan Worlds crammed into that build, it carries the weight of an AAA blockbuster without actually being one. Worth remembering next time someone insists file size tracks genre.
