That plateau doesn't hold long. By rank 8, TripSpend has already fallen to 14, and from there the drop-off stays gradual rather than steep. Across the full hundred apps, the range runs from 18 at #1 down to 10 at #100, putting the top end at 1.6× the median. For something as mechanical as a screenshot count, that's a surprisingly wide spread.

The Crown Keeps Moving

Escape Game: Santorini didn't work its way up to #1, it just showed up there. It's a new arrival to the top ten, and it took the crown from Magic Wand 3D back in August 2026. Over the 45 days this board has been tracked, the #1 spot has flipped 7 times. Nothing here has settled into a rhythm yet.

Escape Game: Santorini has sat at #1 for 17 of those 45 days, a bit over a third of the tracked window, which sounds solid but isn't a lock. With the top three tied at 18 screenshots each, the crown could slip to someone else before long.

What the Reviews Actually Say

The leader has 34 reviews so far, and the sentiment reads decent rather than glowing, sitting at a steady 0.58. People like the puzzles and the graphics, and quite a few reviews call out the developer by name. Bugs and glitches show up again and again though, along with gripes about hints and ads.

It's almost funny that an app with 18 screenshots on its listing still gets hammered for ads in the reviews. The screenshots make the sale before you've even opened the app; the reviews tell you what actually happens once the ads start firing. Two very different pitches, and the developer only really controls the first one.

The Long Tail Gets Odd Fast

DonkeyCat GmbH is the only developer with two entries in the top 100, and the one we can see, Four in a Row - Connect Lines at 16, is a simple enough game that a screenshot-heavy listing makes sense. What's harder to explain is how many business and utility apps show up right alongside it: Setup4Meter, Эквио, b.Pilot, Farvision Employee Hub. None of these are consumer apps competing on looks, yet they match or beat a fair number of games on raw screenshot count.

That's the outlier worth pausing on. A high screenshot count usually means a developer is trying to sell an experience. For an enterprise feeding system or a compliance dashboard, it probably means something else entirely: a developer walking through every screen for an audience of one, whoever has to approve the install internally. Same metric, completely different reason behind it.
