抖音, built by Beijing Douyin Technology Co., Ltd., skipped any kind of slow build. It landed straight at #1 and has held that spot for 62 of the last 69 days we've been tracking. The only change of hands came when Facebook lost the top spot to 抖音 back in July 2026. Nothing has gotten close since.

Across the current top ten, positions move by an average of just 1.8 places over the tracked period. That's not much movement for a leaderboard built on ratings per year, a metric designed to reward whoever's climbing fastest. Really there's only one genuine shakeup here, sitting right at the top, while everything else settles into place around it.

The gap from #1 to everyone else

抖音 pulls in 5.2 million average ratings a year since it first launched. Facebook holds #2 with 3.7 million, already 1.5 million behind. YouTube comes next at 3.5 million, then ChatGPT at 3.2 million, then 剪映 - 抖音官方AI创作神器 at 3M. None of these gaps are trivial. Four apps in a row each shed hundreds of thousands of yearly ratings just by dropping one rank.

By #100, that pace has fallen to 390.1K a year, roughly a thirteenfold drop from the top spot. The whole top 100 averages out to eight times its own median. Picture a cliff near the summit, then a long flat tail stretching out behind it.

Six wins for one publisher, and one odd fit

Shenzhen Tencent Tianyou Technology Ltd shows up six times in the top 100, more than any other developer on this list. Three of those land inside the top fifteen alone: 三角洲行动 at #7, 和平精英 at #10, and 金铲铲之战 at #13. That's not one lucky title carrying the rest. This publisher's whole lineup pulls in ratings at a rate most individual apps never touch, title after title, year after year.

Then there's the outlier: Bible, from Life.Church, sitting at #9 with 1.8M average ratings a year. It's wedged between 三角洲行动 and 和平精英, and just ahead of DoorDash: Food, Grocery, More. A scripture app keeping stride with a shooter game and a delivery service is exactly the kind of oddity this kind of ranking is built to catch. Nothing about a Bible app suggests it should outpace gaming giants, but the numbers don't care what category something belongs to.

What the chart actually shows

What matters here is the speed of the shift, not just the shift itself. 抖音 bypassed the top ten entirely and jumped straight to #1, holding that spot for 62 of the last 69 days. Nothing in the data hints at a reversal anytime soon.
