One Name, Five Times

Google's name sits behind five separate entries in this top 100, more than any other developer on the board. That count is the real story, honestly, not where any one of those five apps lands. Only one of them actually breaks into the visible ranks: YouTube, holding #2 with 48.8M ratings, well behind the leader by a margin that's hard to miss.

Other developers show up more than once too, just on a smaller scale. Meta Platforms, Inc. has both Facebook (#5, 28.2M) and Messenger (#18, 13.5M). Beijing Douyin Technology Co., Ltd. has both 抖音 (#1, 52.1M) and 抖音极速版 (#25, 9.7M). Uber Technologies, Inc. has both Uber (#14, 16.8M) and Uber Eats (#23, 10.7M). Each of those pairs splits its ratings across two products instead of piling them into one number. Google, whatever its other four entries turn out to be, is clearly playing a different game.

The Crown Changed Hands Once

抖音 took #1 from YouTube and has now held it for 39 of the last 46 tracked days. That handover happened exactly once in the whole window we've been watching: a single clean flip, followed by a long, quiet stretch with the new leader parked at the top.

Meanwhile the rest of the top ten barely budged, moving by an average of just 1.6 places. So the top spot turned over while everything underneath it stayed put. That's a strange kind of calm for a board that only includes apps updated in the last 30 days.

The Shape of the Top 100

The median app here lands at roughly an eighth of the leader's total, and 抖音's 52.1M works out to 8.3 times that median. The drop from top to bottom is even steeper: 52.1M at #1 down to 3.6M at #100, more than a tenfold fall across the full list. Even the gap at the very top is big. #1 beats #2 by 3.3M ratings, a difference large enough to rank inside the top 25 of this entire list on its own.

Nearly everything else on this board is a social app, a delivery app, or a bank. Then there's Bible, from Life.Church, sitting at #17 with 13.7M ratings, ahead of Messenger, ahead of Pandora, ahead of a couple of banking apps besides. No ads, no marketplace, no chat feature, and it still outranks most of the corporate names sitting near it. Worth keeping in mind: on this board, people simply coming back builds scale just as well as any platform strategy does.
