Douyin's parent shows up twice, meaning two separate apps from one company are each landing on multiple record boards through their own numbers, not by leaning on the other's popularity.

That's worth sitting with. When a single company builds two apps that each independently pull enough record-board appearances to crack the top four, that points to a different kind of dominance than one hit app carrying everything on its back.

A One-Day King

OpenTable sits at #1 right now with a value of 12, just two ahead of Lyft's 10 at #2. A gap of two might look minor until you check the full spread: values fall all the way to 6 by #100, so the leader's 12 is exactly double whatever sits at the bottom of the board. Look at it another way and the math still holds, since the leader's value lands at twice the median across all 100 tracked apps.

None of that promises the top spot survives past day two, but it does explain how a dinner-reservation app ended up crossing record boards that have nothing to do with restaurants at all.

The Rest of the Field, and the One That Doesn't Fit
